Kim Cox

My name is Kim Cox, and I am an experienced elementary educator with over 20 years of service in both public and private school settings. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades, gaining a broad perspective on elementary instruction and student development. My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that students learn best when they feel valued and supported. I strive to love my students as I love my own children and to teach them in the same manner I would want my own children to be taught.

I have been married to my husband and best friend for almost 33 years, and together we have three children. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family that also includes our dog, four cats, and thirteen chickens. My strong family values and commitment to nurturing relationships are reflected in the positive, respectful learning environment I work to create for my students.
