About Us
Building Bright Futures
The Nature School is a private school which will run a five day a week program from 8:00-2:30 for students ages 5-10. We will serve the whole child, teaching beyond the standards to include movement, art, music, dance, creativity, and character development. Nature will be woven into all that we do. Students will be surrounded in nature in our beautiful facility on the wooded canal lots of Point Washington. Our six pillars (Interdisciplinary/project-based learning, continual progress, multi-age grouping, time in nature, and social, emotional, and physical wellness) will support the growth of every student. We are dedicated to personalized instruction that meets the needs of each unique learner.
Children need to live in joy and awe of their natural surroundings. We plan to engage the whole community. As we explore the biodiversity of our area we will develop partnerships with Alaqua, E. O. Wilson Biophilia Center and other community stakeholders. Our community will be a part of all that we do from walking trips into the state forest, boat trips down the river system, and monthly trips to nature and animal preserves.
