Amelia Garrett

It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I embark on a new chapter of my educational journey as I join The Nature Schools dedicated team. With a Master of Science in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) in Integrated Science, Mathematics, and Technology from Dowling College in New York, I am eager to contribute my expertise to an institution that shares my passion for fostering a deep understanding of science and mathematics in a unique learning environment.

Having spent 17 years in various educational environments across Virginia, New York, and Florida, including a significant 14-year tenure in Okaloosa and Walton counties, I bring a wealth of experience to my new role. The educational landscape has always been a part of my life, as my father was an elementary school teacher for 25 years. My roots run deep in the Emerald Coast, which I've called home for nearly four decades. Born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, I

briefly ventured out to Virginia and New York to pursue my college education, but the allure of this beautiful coastal region drew me back. It's here that I am raising my family, cherishing the paradise that is my backdrop.

I currently find joy in exploring the world of real estate, leveraging my skills to work magic in that arena. Additionally, my heart belongs to my family, and spending quality time with them is a cornerstone of my life. Traveling and reading also hold special places in my heart, allowing me to continuously learn and grow. I am deeply honored to be part of The Nature School's mission to cultivate the natural curiosities of the students. As I take on the role of nurturing young minds in the realm of science and mathematics, I am committed to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine love for learning. With each new day, I look forward to igniting the spark of knowledge and exploration in the students I have the privilege to teach.
