Theresa Rohm

Hailing from Buffalo, New York, Theresa began her career working as a Speech Therapist and provided Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with Autism and related disabilities. She earned her Master’s degree in Special Education (K-12) with a reading concentration.  From there Theresa worked as an Education Specialist in the public school system and was utilized by the administration in a variety of roles. From teaching self contained classrooms, piloting a co-taught model of instruction and leading teacher trainings, Mrs. Rohm brings vast experience to help students succeed.

Over the years , Theresa’s innate ability to differentiate instruction to all kinds of learners has been applauded by parents, administrators and fellow teachers. 

The districts she worked for in NY and CA trained her in the Wilson and Barton Reading Systems, both which use the multi-sensory, Orton Gillingham approach.

 

In 2022, Theresa moved to the Florida panhandle where she merged her passion of building a child's confidence through reading intervention and her experience  advocating and educating families through every step of the IEP process into her own business, Origins Learning Ally.

At The Nature School, Theresa will collaborate with teachers to help scaffold and differentiate instruction helping ensure each child is being met right where they are.
